| PHYS 3141. Introduction to Modern Physics. (3) Prerequisite: PHYS 2102 (or PHYS 1102) and MATH 1241, both with a grade of C or better. Corequisite: MATH 1242. Topics include: Special relativity, quantization of charge, light, and energy, the nuclear atom, wavelike properties of particles, introduction to nuclear reactions and applications, introduction to solid state physics, and introduction to particle physics.
